A client engaged United Fluid Power after persistent oil contamination issues across their milling lubrication systems, with existing filtration no longer delivering reliable performance.
UFP reviewed the duty, oil type and operating conditions and recommended C.C.Jensen HDU offline filtration units for high-viscosity service. Operating as a kidney loop, the units continuously draw oil from the reservoir, filter through cellulose inserts, and return clean oil to tank without interrupting production. Under correct conditions, filtration down to approximately 3 microns can be achieved.
Because the systems run offline from the main circuit, installation was completed quickly with minimal disruption. A hire unit was also supplied while the permanent systems were being assembled, allowing immediate improvement in oil cleanliness.
Pump and heater selection was matched to the site oils to maintain stable year-round flow.
We are now looking forward to the next oil sample results and the savings associated with cleaner lubrication systems.
A solid outcome through practical engineering and team collaboration.
